Company History

From 1954 to 1960 At 21 years old, Jacques Marsy was a coach driver for a small tour operator in Richebourg, France.




From 1961 to 1973 Jacques delivered chicory and cauliflowers from the Nord Pas de Calais region to Les Halles market in Paris.
He purcahsed his first transport licences and trailers.
1974 A turning point - Jacques set up his own company and diversfied his transport activities.
Frédéric was born on 1 April.
1976 First oil crisis, first difficulties.
1981 Moved to Béthune
Recruited Alain Bayart who was still with the company in 2009...
1987 Frédéric's first summer job with Transports Marsy
1988 Europ'Stocks Services were taken over by Jacques and Hervé Marsy.
1990 The two companies relocated to Douvrin.
1991 A company savings plan was introduced.
1995 Turnover: 4.5 M€
1997 16 June: employment contracts for Frédéric and Christophe DAVID were signed on the same day

1998 Computerization of the Operations Department
Modernization of the logo
Creation of a sales brochure
1999 The whole company was computerized
Creation of first website
Start of an ISO certification scheme
2000 17 July - Jacques left the company following a minor heart attack

2001 Frédéric was appointed Managing Director
Jacques, now retired, was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Launch of international development plans
2002 Development of logistic activities
Change of company name to MARSY Transports et Logistique
Creation of first company presentation brochure
2003 Creation of national tariff
2004 ISO certification
2005 First stand at the Barcelona International Logistics Exhibition
2006 Christophe DAVID was appointed Deputy Managing Director
2007 Offices were opened in Sarragossa in Spain
Renewal of ISO certificate
Turnover: 12.6 M€
First stand at the international Transport Logistic exhibition in Munich
2008 Oil price and banking crises
The company moved into Eastern Europe
